Fenimore Art Museum An elegant 1930s mansion overlooking Otsego Lake, Fenimore Art Museum was built on the site of novelist James Fenimore Cooper's home. It became the headquarters of the New York State Historical Association in 1945 at the invitation of philanthropist Stephen C. Clark, Sr. Over the years, the Historical Association's collections of fine art, folk art, and American Indian art have grown to represent and illuminate our cultural heritage and to celebrate America's artistic traditions and history.

Baseball Hall of Fame The centerpiece of the museum is the historic Hall of Fame Gallery where the plaques of every Hall of Fame Member line the oak walls. In the front section of the gallery, visitors will see artifacts representing the most recent class of Hall of Famers. Touring the Museum you will see many other interesting items on display. National Soccer Hall of Fame A 20,000-square-foot museum complex opened June 12, 1999. The campaign to fund construction of a grandstand stadium, locker room facilities and an indoor soccer arena will continue over the next two years. Plans for the National Soccer Hall of Fame campus also include the addition of four more world-class soccer fields which will bring the total of fields available for play to eleven (nine outdoor and two indoor), making the Hall of Fame campus the nation's first sports museum facility totally dedicated to the sport of soccer.

Ride Into History... and Beautiful Scenery... Built in 1869, the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad gives visitors to our area the chance to experience what was once the primary form of transportation throughout the country - riding the rails. In an area rich with railroad history the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad takes visitors back in time with vintage rail cars and locomotives through the scenic wilderness of the Upper Susquehanna River Valley. The Railroad crosses the river twice over two steel-truss bridges, and travels through a variety of landscapes, including forests, wetlands and agricultural land. In the beautifully restored Milford Depot in Milford, NY, also built in 1869, visitors can view a variety of exhibits and displays.

Golfing
The first 9 holes of a championship style links course are now open at the areas newest public golf course. Tsuga Links is in Otsego County just off of Route 51 between Garrattsville and Morris NY, overlooking stunning views of the Butternut Valley. It is a diverse course that is fully irrigated, has USGA spec'd bent grass greens, natural areas, multiple tee boxes and practice greens. The driving range will be opening soon! Memberships are available.
